On the 14th – 16th March 2008 William Kamanyi successfully conducted an Administrators Course whereby a total of 9 participants passed. He also conducted a level II Coaching course from 28th – 30th March 2008 whereby a total of 5 participants successfully passed.
Digicel on board with Vanuatu Cricket Association
Digicel, the fastest growing telecommunications operator in the Pacific, has today announced title sponsorship of the national cricket side, and a three year partnership with the Vanuatu Cricket Association (VCA). The Vanuatu national mens cricket team will now be called the Digicel Vanuatu Cricket Team. Digicel will become the official sponsor of the Vanuatu Cricket Team and the official mobile and communications provider for the team and the VCA. “Our partnership with the Vanuatu Cricket Association is an exciting new development in the growth of Digicel in the Pacific region. We are looking forward to this new partnership with this highly respected sporting association.” said Digicel Vanuatu General Manager, John Delves.
The Vanuatu Cricket Association has produced many programs that have been proven to be very beneficial to the community as well as giving opportunities to youth
and school children. There has been an emphasis on good sportsmanship and education on social issues as well as skills development. The VCA has put a particular emphasis on school children participating with members of the disabled
community. VCA has also promoted World Aids Day; World Youth Day; Peace One Day and World Disabled Day as part of its social education program.
